Share on FacebookJOIN WOOL.fm WOOL is a low-power station, but has won approval from the FCC for a full-power upgrade to serve a larger community in rural southern Vermont and New Hampshire that currently has no local-origination radio programming. This is particularly important when we have local weather emergencies. Big swaths of the countryside around here don't have cable TV, and no broadcast TV reception. With no radio outlet specifically for our region, people are left in the dark when they most need information. Without meaning to be crass, the only thing between here and there is money... and there's a deadline: If we can't do the upgrade within a restricted amount of time, we're going to lose that full-power license.
