Talk about yer late-breaking developments – it’s happening in THREE DAYS! But this is fabulous. Yes, the one and only Billy Bragg will be in Bellows Falls this Saturday, August 13, and will play at Black Sheep Radio‘s Second Annual Block Party. It’s happening at the Waypoint Center in Bellows Falls, under the full moon. Party starts at 7pm – $10 Admission ($5 for 12-and-under). There will be food and a cash bar. And a full moon. And Billy Bragg.
JOIN WOOL.fm WOOL is a low-power station, but has won approval from the FCC for a full-power upgrade to serve a larger community in rural southern Vermont and New Hampshire that currently has no local-origination radio programming. This is particularly important when we have local weather emergencies. Big swaths of the countryside around here don't have cable TV, and no broadcast TV reception. With no radio outlet specifically for our region, people are left in the dark when they most need information. Without meaning to be crass, the only thing between here and there is money... and there's a deadline: If we can't do the upgrade within a restricted amount of time, we're going to lose that full-power license.
