The fourth annual New Hampshire Permaculture Day is coming up in August, on Saturday the 20th: it’s a gathering of permaculture enthusiasts ranging from old hands to interested newcomers from across New Hampshire and neighboring states. Write it on your calendar now.
This year it’s being hosted by the Orchard Hill Community just over there in East Alstead, NH.
There’ll be hands-on workshops, demos, talks, walks, knowledge-sharing about things like food production, edible landscape design, climate change, sustainable energy, natural building, and homesteading. Dig into a local, organic, farm-to-table lunch. Kids are welcome and supervision is provided. A marketplace will have information and goods for sale.
Check out www.nhpermacultureday.org … and tune in to Monsters & Hamsters on WOOL-FM 91.5 at 7:00 on Wednesday, May 11, when we’ll have a gang of those permies in the studio to talk about all of it. If you’re not in the broadcast area, stream it from www.wool.fm
And if you just can’t catch it as it unfurls in all its live glory, we’ll post a recording at www.monstersandhamsters.com and other places.
