Brattleboro Area Hospice is expanding to include Bellows Falls and other communities in its service area, and they’ll be on the show this Wednesday evening at 7:00 to talk about it. They’re also offering hospice volunteer training this fall.
So what’s hospice? Basically, it’s being there for people who are leaving this life and their loved ones. It’s just as simple and complicated and important as that. It’s being kind and helpful and good to members of your community at a time when they can really use some helpful kindness.
Brattleboro Area Hospice is an independent, community-based, non-profit volunteer organization providing grassroots, volunteer-staffed programs to supplement and provide alternatives to the professional services utilized by dying and grieving community members.
All of their services are free of charge to anyone in Southeastern Vermont or bordering New Hampshire towns.
Tune in Wednesday at 7:00 PM, WOOL-FM 91.5 or streaming from wool.fm. Check out Brattleboro Area Hospice at brattleborohospice.org.
Monsters & Hamsters is still on hiatus because life got so crazy, but there’s going to be a terrific one-off this week. Foot-stompin’ band Ida Mae and The Honest Mistakes — and maybe if we’re very lucky, some or all of HUMANWINE too (
they haven’t confirmed, but we’re hopeful confirmed!… we’ll have ’em until 8:00) — will be in the studio on Wednesday night from 7:00 for as long as we can keep ’em going or 9:00, whichever comes first. If you don’t already know these acts, check out idamaespecker.com and humanwine.org. They’re both playing at the Steampunk Festival coming up fast in Springfield in mid-September — see springfieldvtsteampunkfest.com to find out about that. (It’s gonna be awesome.)
Oh, this’ll be fun! Wednesday starting at 7:00 on WOOL-FM 91.5 in the broadcast area, and streaming from wool.fm everywhere else.
