M&H 026: Should Have Backed It Up

[powerpress]

Oh. Guests. It’s been a little while, hasn’t it?

Tony then.

Tony then.

Tony now.

Tony now.

Cthulhu

Cthulhu

What with the station’s broadcast being interrupted for a couple-three weeks during the upgrade process (WOOL is getting many excellent comments from listeners — tune us in at 91.5 FM!), the very public training of our new permanent cohost (Drew Pelletier, who can be found just about every day at The Valley Cafe in downtown Bellows Falls — stop in and say hi!), and three-quarters of real-life’s million little details rearing up all at once, Monsters & Hamsters took a brief hiatus from its mission of doing that thing it does.

Well, we’re back! (And we can say that without any hint of nosism now. Stuff just keeps getting better.)

Barring anything getting in the way between now and then, we’re going to have Tony Elliott in the studio with us this week, which is going to be awesome. A WOOL founder and former show host, a Sovernet founder, a Windham Development Group founder, some kind of muckety-muck with Woodstone Windows, consummate geek (meant with great respect), the guy’s got tentacles in so many places — sort of like the Cthulhu of Bellows Falls, but in a good way.

(The Lovecraft lovers perk up. Just for you:
“…that strange letter of reassurance and invitation which must have marked so prodigious a transition in the whole nightmare drama of the lonely hills… It was postmarked Bellows Falls.”
Check this out if you haven’t already.)

tldr: WOOL 91.5; new host Drew; the royal we; Tony “Cthulhu” Elliott; Lovecraft in Vermont.

  1. We’re going to try out an experimental thing during tonight’s show: a no-account instant messaging system hooked into the studio. You don’t need Facebook, or Twitter, or anything – super easy. Please see www.blacksheepradio.org/WOOL/studio-messager/ and help us out tonight by banging on it to find the weak spots.
